Biografi singkatnya :
Hoobastank adalah band alternatif rock asal Amerika yang terbentuk pada 1994. Debut perdana band yang beranggotakan Doub Robb (vokal), Dan Estrin (gitaris), Chris Hesse (drummer) dan Markku Lappalainen (bassit) ini diluncurkan pada 1997 dengan judul MUFFINS.
Namun ternyata album tersebut tidak terlalu berhasil. Begitu pula dengan beberapa album selanjutnya, THEY SURE DON'T MAKE BASKETBALL SHORTS LIKE THEY USED TO (1998) dan FORWARD (2000).
Baru pada album ke-4 di bawah label Island Records, album mereka yang berjudul HOOBASTANK mampu diterima di pasaran, bahkan meraih platinum. Meski di album THE TARGET (2002) tidak terlalu berhasil di pasaran hal ini ditebus pada album THE REASON (2003) dengan hit single The Reason, Crawling In The Dark dan Running Way.
Kesuksesan ini kembali berlanjut di album EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF yang dirilis pada 2006. Bahkan album ini mendapatkan Gold.
Album terakhir Hoobastank adalah FOR(N)EVER yang dirilis pada 2008. Dengan hit single My Turn, album ini berhasil menduduki posisi 7 di Billboard Top Rock Album di minggu pertama peluncurannya.
